Speaking in public can set people's hearts palpitating, their hands shaking and their knees turning to jelly! Yet, as entrepreneurs, we're told to 'get ourselves out there', that 'people buy from people' and that if we don't push ourselves to be seen, we'll fall by the wayside. Even coming to our women only networking events is signposted to us as somewhere we 'won't do any public speaking' (we all know how easily we are put off attending an event if we're put under the spotlight!)
So, on our upcoming event, I want to give all of you some guidance in the techniques you can use to prepare for when you have to put yourself forward, whether that's presenting yourself or your business, or preparing to go 'live' on the dreaded Social Media. None of us should have to do what we don't want to do - but we also know that there are times when we'll find ourselves in that position, and we'll want to be able to manage it!
With my background in Speech and Drama, as an ex-English, Drama and Media teacher and with roles in leadership and management throughout my career, presentation skills have been at the forefront of what I've done for most of my life. I can support you with those techniques that will help you show up with confidence on the days you need to!
